We don’t blame you for being skeptical. It’s true that the big soft drink players are full of it. By now, we know that sugar can increase inflammation, which leads to a whole heap of health issues. As it turns out the artificial sweeteners in sugar-free sodas like aspartame and saccharin aren’t any better for you either, and can actually increase your sugar cravings, causing havoc on your gut health.
But how do ‘healthy’ soft drinks stack up when it comes to flavour? We found that most ‘healthy’ sodas on the market don’t have the big, bold flavours that we Aussie’s know and love. Which left us wondering… if it doesn’t taste good, then what’s the point?
